What is the percentage? For all my math enthusiasts. . .

My boyfriend and I are pretty young, and make 2500 a month collectively. 800 goes towards bills, and 300 towards food. What percentage of our income goes towards bills (food included)? And how did you get your answer? I am terrible at mouth, please inform me, don't judge me.

If you want to calculate the percentage that 1100 from 2500 represents, just divide 1100 by 2500 which gives you 0.44 or 44%.
