The way an evil teacher's mind works:

Teacher: Okay, students, we're gonna read 65 pages per night.

Students: I can't handle a big assignment every night.

Teacher: Okay, I'll reduce the reading assignments to once a week. Your assignment for this week is to read To Kill a Mockingbird.

Students: But... you didn't reduce the reading. You just slammed all the daily assignments together into one weekly assignment that's 5x bigger.

Teacher: Okay, then I'll just assign you to read 33 pages, twice a day every day.

In college, I had a summer semester Faulkner course where we had to read seven novels in six weeks, plus a full schedule of other classes. I did it, but I have never read Faulkner since!

@hunkalove It kind of makes you no longer want to read Faulkner.
