A legal system is bound by the values of a given social construct which, in turn, has a historical tradition at its core. That historical tradition in and of itself (along with the values of the society) is the philosophy of that society. Please note that, every religion is a philosophy but, not every philosophy is a religion.
All of these factors taken together will no doubt impact on the psychology of both the individual and the social construct as a whole.
