About 3x of what is currently assigned
33person · 26-30, M
@MasterLee Why 3x, exactly? Is that just an arbitrary amount?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@33person no it is 3x
33person · 26-30, M
@MasterLee Okay, then 3x what who assigns? Some teachers assign 6 problems. Others assign 65 problems.

@33person then if 3x = 65 solve for x
33person · 26-30, M
@MasterLee So 1/3 of 65, which is 21 and 2/3.

@33person you did your algebra 1 homework
33person · 26-30, M
@MasterLee Of course I did. The problem with students these days is they know they need to divide both sides by 3, but then when they have to do 65 divided by 3, they need a calculator and they don't even know that the calculator is rounding that last 6 up to a 7.
