What do u think?

For kids giving their teachers presents? I think it is gud to appreciate a gud & caring teacher but wud it be better if they gave an overall present from the class? What if the kids parents can't afford to give something? Give what they can or not bother? Or how about raising money for a charity supported by the teacher?

I mean honestly all those are good ideas ... but I don’t think a teacher has ever looked down on a kid that didn’t bring anything in ....

There's no need to overthink it. It's a sweet gesture, but there shouldn't be any pressure on the parents or other kids to pitch in.

Anything more than an apple on the desk should be from the whole class.
This has always bugged me a little, tbh, but I think its usually harmless.
You have a couple of great ideas. I never gave any teacher a gift

What's wrong with the apple thing? What happen there!?
I don’t think it should be obligatory. But when I was growing up my mother always gave me a gift for the teacher at the end of term in elementary school; generally something like a pen or handkerchief. Something simple, inexpensive, to show appreciation.
