I think that's a dumb idea. Just face your fears. Alcohol is just going to make your presentation worse. Dulls your senses, makes you slower, even if you don't feel it. Alcohol makes you less scared because it makes you less aware, not because it has magical powers.

@SW-User I wouldn't overdo it. Just maybe like 2 shots 40%.

People overdo things all the time. I'd personally just study more and become more familiar with the content. That way, my presentation is better AND I'm less nervous. People do all kinds of stupid shit to avoid the things that make them uncomfortable. If you do this now, you're just setting yourself up to do it the next time, and the next time, and the next time.
Yikes I STRONGLY recommend against that lol omg hahahah🤣🤣🤣
Trevo · 26-30, M
I advice you against it. Just go there and be awkward and laugh it out. As long as you can get your message across people won't care.

it makes me horny. idk if that helps good luck.
Its good to face your fears without help

Don't. You're good enough.

if you don't drink regularly, keep it to two or one.
the one problem that could come of it is, if you get into the habit of using it, and develop a tolerance. slippery slope, but people can and do successfully use it sparingly.

There are more chances you'd screw things up under its influence. Just face it as it comes.

Do you really wanna go to school smelling like booze?

few cups of courage never goes astray..

Alcohol doesn’t seem like the best idea honestly, especially at school. There are alternatives like trying a relaxing tea beforehand or if you want there are even herbal supplements you can take like St. John’s wort or holy basil. And if you need to you can even pray about it. “Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7). Just some tips that could be useful. Good luck on the presentation, hope you do well.

@Tellica Praying helps me a lot. If your a believer it can be very helpful so that’s why I mentioned it. Didn’t know if you were but I thought I’d give it a shot 😋
Tellica · 22-25, F
@Blessedbeyond I'm glad it works for you. I just couldn't believe in a god even if I wanted too. Did too much overthinking on that.
Blessedbeyond · 26-30, M
Aw, well if you wanna talk about feel free to message me. Ive dealt with overthinking too and it sucks! Even with my faith I use to as well but the Lord gave me reassurance. Not saying to boast, just want to let you know there’s hope

No it doesn’t do shit.

Use that stress to prepare and make the best presentation you’ve ever given.
TheCaliforniaKid · 31-35, M
It does, helps me with my anxiety , just don't over do it

I don't think alcohol is the answer.
I used to feel exactly the same way ... but I found practice made things easier.
Also remember one thing, they have no idea what you are planning on staying so if you make a mistake don't worry because they won't know.

well alcohol can make you less inhibited and maybe more comfortable presenting, but it also inhibits your ability to think and you could slur your words and be less comprehensible. I'd say no.
Recovery420 · 26-30, M
yes. good luck
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
I would. 😬
Rob04 · 18-21, M
Wouldn't you end up doing presentation drunk? 😆 Go for Monster energy drink instead!

More like it will make you reckless and more prone to embarrassing errors.
