Isn't it an acid base reaction. If it is, then their is neutralisation and it results in the formation of water and a salt. Maybe I answered right.

@MaybeTooNarcissistic Then it is like electrolysis. May be the copper is acting as anode and the ammonium hydroxide is the electrolyte. 😕😕😕
