So an ILS approach at a runway consist of a localizer and a glide slope. Every ILS approach has a radio frequency you turn your NAV radio to. A little indicator will pop up telling you if you are too far right, left, or right on the runway... then a glide slope indicator will show up... telling you if you are too high, low or right on the correct glide path to land on the runway. If you keep everything centered it will bring you right to the runway, even if you can’t see the runway until you are almost touching down.
