I met some of the best friends I've ever had. But I don't know if I miss it, at times I do
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Dan509 I do. Not just for my school life but also for those specific years, like what was popular, current events, etc.

I miss my friends in high school, not the war zone that my high school was. We had a riot every year where the gangs went to war on campus. Many people went to the hospital. I personally
had over 30 gang members chasing me my senior year for 3 weeks. Because i wore my lettermens jacket. The blacks, the orientals the Hispanics and the whites all fought all year long. My high school was not to love, it was to survive.

I do too
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MURD3RM0NK3Y Having a unified class really helped build friendships, and the times of those particular years were great. I was one crazy ass motherfucker as a teenager.
lightningblue · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick like that changed
abe182 · 46-50, M

@BlueMetalChick I don't think it's a case of social anxiety, it's just pure nostalgia. One only has to put a Led Zeppelin song on the pub jukebox and most of my friends of my age group will start going on about how it takes them back to being 15 again. I know exactly what they mean. Lol :)
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@NankerPhelge No, I meant social anxiety is why people say they hated high school.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick I don't know so much. I had social anxiety when I was about 15, but I still reminisce about that part of my life more than I do about when I was 20 because life has sucked more since then.

@RippinKlouds I miss having a class. In college, because there are no defined classes by age or year, there's not nearly as much unity among students. I miss being around a lot of my friends and getting to see them every day. I miss the crazy stupid shit we used to do and the jokes we made during school lunch, and my favorite teachers, and going to homecoming and prom. I also miss myself. I haven't changed much, but the times have changed, and I miss the stuff I used to do as a teenager.
