WHY are we doing this to ourselves? AI is self-programming on its OWN. Even teaching itself different languages.

@Jayciedubb Musk is NOT even as qualified as I am to talk about AI and I'm no expert!

Yes I do know something about AI. Yet I have barely started. Musk knows no more than the average Joe though. He doesn't even know much about programming which I have had a few decades of experience!

@DeWayfarer what's your point? How many cars have you made that can drive themselves? You don't think there was any ai involved? Have you ever heard of Neuralink? You dont think he's familiar enough with AI to have any valid concerns about its development? Suppose you do know more about the subject than he does, how loud is your voice? Do you own twitter? How many people does your voice reach?

I dont have a clue who you are nor what your stance is on the subject of AI. Your approach is that of someone who is for its further development. If you're against it, and you come here to shit on my comment because of my sources then please don't say another word about it because your ego is doing more harm than good. Get over yourself if you want to be any kind of leader for any cause

@Jayciedubb no Musk isn't an Authority on anything! He is just a well versed salesman. Not even in the auto industry is he looked up to.

He certainly isn't any kind of Henry Ford of even the auto industry.

I can respect Geoffrey Hinton opinions once they are made clear and the truth told.

No so Elon Musk who has designed absolutely nothing!

I can as well respect Howard Hughes the billionaire in aviation design! He did design the Spruce goose, despite having been a quite literal bum at one point of his life.

Again, not so Elon Musk! Show me ANYTHING he himself actually designed without anyone's help!

@Jayciedubb does it look like I am jealous of Geoffrey Hinton? How Howard Hughes? How about a few I haven't mentioned above like Jobs or Wozniak, though I have few qualms about their actual business practices.

Each has made his place in each of their respective TECHNICAL fields!

Not so Elon Musk! He has no technical field of expertise!

That's why I don't respect him! He is a user of those with the technical knowledge!

And as such he shouldn't be referred to as some kind of expert in any type of technology!

Now if it's business acumen, that's not technology!

Once again he is no expert in ANY technical field!

Business is not technology!
Nor is business even taught as a science!

Yet each of those that I mentioned have at least honorary degrees in their respective fields.

Not so Elon Musk! Not even an honorary degree in any type of technology!

At least Steve Jobs does have an honorary degree some type of in technology!

Jobs has at least been shown to have some technical expertise by a accredited institute!

Musk doesn't have any technical expertise.
Not even outright bought!

And that's saying something because I do admit he is the richest man in the world!

Wtf are you even talking about now? Stick to the subject. Elon Musk warns against AI. Is he wrong? What makes you an authority on the matter? Are you trying to tell me who i can and cant get my information from?

Im telling you that i am against AI. My opinion is my opinion regardless of anyone else's. When i hear a man who's responsible for not only surviving the big 3 auto makers attempts to crush him but went on to being the most valuable auto maker in the world, specializing in making cars that drive themselves and working on technology that will allow people to interact online using only their minds, im going to assume he knows what hes talking about when he warns against AI, especially when such a warning seemingly goes against the best interests of his companies..

You don't have to agree with me. You're free to have your own opinion. But please stop wasting my time with your irrelevant commentary. Nobody cares. You only make yourself look like a jealous hater. By him investing in it, it tells me to be even more worried about it. ..but it could be his way of trying to control its development. I dont speak for him nor does he for me. ..we merely agree on the matter. he only bolsters my opinion

@Jayciedubb I agree! I have seen all those already. Boy, are we in big trouble. The "experts" have said "there's no going back now." These money hungry idiots have let AI out into the public without even knowing or caring about the consequences.

@Jayciedubb Imho, Musk doesn't care where it goes. He's just following the money and getting richer off other people's inventions. He's greedy. You know it's awfully odd we never heard of this guy before, and he just seemed to come out of the woodwork like a roach, and everybody just ate him up and believed everything he said. @LadyGrace how did i get on this side? I really don't care about the man that much nor where his money comes from. All I'm saying is that he warned against AI, which is the same thing you do with this post. You dont have to tell me that a trillionaire chases money. Its already implied. That was my point about being more worried about AI when a money chaser who's very publicly warned against it is now investing in it without changing his point of view on the matter.

As far as him getting richer off of other people's inventions. Isn't that the American way? Has he actually stolen anybody's inventions? I bet those inventors made a lot of money too; money that they may have never made had it not been for him creating places for those inventors to manifest their creations.
