It really annoys me when people come along with a bunch of questions and expect answers for things

that have cost me a lot of time and money to figure out. If you really want to do something, figure it out yourself.

This is my livelihood and I don't want you to copy me.

AND I DON'T EVEN MAKE THAT MUCH MONEY

So no, I'm not going to help you, retired, married teacher, just doing it "for fun"

Figure it out yourself.

I have no idea what you are going through, but if I could help someone do something that I achieved , without going through the same struggles, I would. Just because I suffered, doesn’t mean everyone has to suffer too, and if they reach to their goal, that doesn’t make my success any less.

@BittersweetPotato yeah, for emotional struggles I agree. But this is career related, and sure I am happy to mentor young people, but it's really annoying when people act like they can just do what I do and waste my time and email me a bunch of questions I don't have time to answer because it's too difficult to explain.

They can research things on their own, they have access to the internet.
Oh I can't even help myself lol

I hated this when I was doing nails. "I bought all the stuff off Amazon but how do you do this?"

It pretty much defeated the whole purpose of me going to school for it

@SkeetSkeet yeah, they won't do it as well though.

I know it comes from a place of not understanding, but also when you keep saying, "No", they should take it as it is and learn to stop asking, I think...

Agreed, I am glad you don’t feel obligated to help.
caccoon · 36-40
@iamonfire696 it's taken a long time, but yes I am learning how to say no!
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@caccoon I am glad you are. You should only teach them when you do those classes and get paid. Otherwise it’s a no.
