Well she'll fight global warming, she'll protect abortion rights, and she'll help expand housing supply. What's Trump firing back with, other than election fraud?
@BlueVeins A lot of people get rich off building houses. That's why she wants to build housing.
Carla · 61-69, F
@Spoiledbrat no one gets rich from building affordable housing.
But building affordable housing will not only provide that housing, but also create jobs.
@Carla I don't recall her saying "affordable" tbh just new housing. Or more housing.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@BlueVeins

she'll help expand housing supply

And how, pray tell will she do that? Is it because all the contractors want to be Willie Brown's cum dumpster like her?

Will they be so inspired that they'll build with no profit motive?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Spoiledbrat Americans need housing, idc if a construction company makes some money in the process. Housing shortages are bleeding us dry in much of the country, and it needs to stop.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Spoiledbrat really, you think it isn't because she realizes that there is a housing short age? I am afraid you drank too much of Trump's KoolAde.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Thrust There's no shortage of demand for new housing, my dawg. The main issue right now is the mountains of red tape most major cities are putting around US cities. Harris' plan calls for using federal dollars to incentivize them to cut through some of that red tape and get developers actually build the housing people need.

@BlueVeins

Harris' plan calls for using federal dollars

Yee-Haw more taxes and more federal boondoggles.

I suppose getting out of the way to let real Americans get it done right is out of the question
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Thrust Upzoning is getting out of the way to let "real Americans" do it right lol. We're literally talking about reducing inefficient government regulations so that the free market can satisfy demand.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@samueltyler2 Gee, maybe a mega contactor like Trump would know that's not the best way
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Thrust The housing crisis is more expensive than any tax the government could possibly levy.
Carla · 61-69, F
@Thrust what? Do you think congress is going to build these homes? Physically? They will take bids, and real americans will build them.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Carla

And they'll get paid with what? 🤷
Carla · 61-69, F
@Thrust with the money from the purchases.
This will be a government program. Tax incentives.
Snag a bit of the government subsidies from oil, corporate farming, etc., Companies receiving billions while realizing record profits. It would be easily paid for.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Carla OMG, your gullibility is astounding. So you want the price of gas, oil and electricity to double to fund a 100% grift. What a great public service that'd be. Think that would cause any more inflation?

🤡
Carla · 61-69, F
@Thrust so you support corporate welfare? When that welfare is no longer needed? Where do you think those billions come from? The subsidies these companies received were first given in their infancies. To bolster their business. They no longer require these subsidies. Their profits are almost absurd. Other new essential businesses need funding.
And you tell me how ridiculous this sounds....if we take away subsidies from the most financially successful corporations, we will be financially punished for not adding to their huge profits. Tax breaks and subsidies. We pay for that. And we vote for the people that benefit from supporting it all.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Carla

So you have a spreadsheet on all their profits. And they pay zero tax too right?

This inflation we've been burdened with started when your dingaling Bidet cut off drilling from all Federal land. Sending prices through the roof

Now you want to do that on steroids. You must be a Wharton trained economist.

Ps minorities get hurt by runaway inflation too. Not just the white men you loathe
Carla · 61-69, F
@Thrust im sorry you are misinformed. You need to look further into those claims. Or, believe what you will. I no longer care what nonsense you will consume.

Their profits are reported. All publically traded companies are required to.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Carla it's not yours or any Stalinist's call to decide anyone's profits. You lose - you have no power
@samueltyler2 If there is a housing shortage it's because she keeps bringing illegals over.
