The problem is not the gun, it’s the person. These events happen in places where guns aren’t allowed. Soft targets. The shooters face little resistance until law enforcement arrives. These targets need to be hardened or expect more of this. Each school district in Texas has the option to train and arm teachers to defend the school in an active shooter threat. Some do, some don’t.
