Who the Eff in the right state of mind will say buy more guns and teach teachers to shoot?

This is how we picture you gun crazy effers look

Who? Those millions of Americans that want to defend their right to bear arms at all costs. It isn't rational anymore. It is like religion. They state their right to bear arms as a fact of life. Something that exists without question. So they have no choice but to bring forth insane arguments or nonsensical solutions because the simple and rational solution - getting rid of the second amendment - is impossible in their minds.
My comment will get downvoted into oblivion but I don't care. Defending this medieval privilege is just so insane it has to be mentioned every time this happens.

The problem is not the gun, it’s the person. These events happen in places where guns aren’t allowed. Soft targets. The shooters face little resistance until law enforcement arrives. These targets need to be hardened or expect more of this. Each school district in Texas has the option to train and arm teachers to defend the school in an active shooter threat. Some do, some don’t.
But the root cause is having easy access to guns. As long as crazy people get easy access to guns, there will be mass shootings/massacres. @JesseInTX

@Vivaci there's ALWAYS access to guns, now how do we prevent violence? Security, door locks and intelligence
@SilkandLace2 We still can’t prevent these mass shootings, no matter how many people are trained or possess guns, to defend themselves….

The only sureshot solution is what some countries have done successfully….ban guns and reduced mass shootings by 80-90%

You’re not factoring human nature, at all

Violence is in human nature, so is cowardice

FYI almost all of these “mass shooters” are cowards, hiding behind a gun because they’re powerless

That won’t work if others have guns too

Would it be better if humans never made guns? Probably

Can we get rid of them by outlawing them? No, not at all

I don’t carry a gun, I teach lethal hand to hand combat moves and spar with marines for fun

I would be safer if guns didn’t exist

However, we are all safer if law abiding citizens carried guns. Most criminals are cowards, if you don’t believe me look at violent crime maps and gun ownership maps, the more guns the less crime. Why? Armed prey isn’t appealing to cowards

Not to mention, it doesn’t get mass media attention but a number of would be mass shootings have been stopped by someone with a gun

Right. They aren't of sound mind.

@JaggedLittlePill They’re certainly hollow headed….I thought some of their brain is missing but looks like an open space of tumbleweeds for these aholes.

@Vivaci I know what you are saying but I have a hard time mincing words. These types of people are typically seen on documentaries on the ID channel...they are truly derranged and likely have major personality disorders ...

They are compared to Hitler for a very good reason.

I'd also compare a few to Ted Bundy
A few to Edward Kempt..(serial killers)

Think of a serial killing mind in terms of having power in government.

The number one connection between mass shooters: their hate of women.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@JaggedLittlePill also minorities etc.

should we ban knifes and all other weapons that could cause lethal damage also? Take guns away, replacements will be used.
Teach teachers how to protect children and use guns will of course limit potential casualties. School shooters will have second thoughts im sure if they are fully informed on others being armed in schools.
Is it a perfect idea to arm teachers, no not at all but there needs to be much better forms of protection to stop this from happening.
Removing guns wont prevent casualties in the end.
@Torsten Guns can do far more damage than knives. Here’s what I want to say….we haven’t banned guns, and these mass shootings are becoming everyday news.

Why don’t we try banning guns for 3-4 years and compare stats. We can always unban them if it doesn’t work.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Vivaci sure they can but knives were just one example. You take knives away and those school shooters could bring other lethal things to school. could look up easily how to make homemade bombs online for example.
Taking guns away wont change things.
Something needs to be done for sure though. I dont know what but blaming guns wont change anything.
Ducky · 31-35, F
Yeah, kids caught in the crossfire! That’ll go extremely well.
That’s unbearable…I can’t imagine the loss their parents are suffering this morning. Like wtf!! 🤬 When will this madness end? @Ducky
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Vivaci When we start holding the media accountable for how they report on mass shootings. They’ll never truly stop, unfortunately, but I’m sure we’d start seeing progress.
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
I think its a good idea to have the right people trained in firearms to prevent the wrong people from doing things like this.
For example…more police or security.

And why not arm teachers. We trust them with our children already.

Sorry you don’t agree with my opinion…but I don’t agree taking guns out of the hands of good people will solve anything. Criminals will always have/get guns.

Who the EFF in the right state of mind will suggest that schools and teachers remain defenseless against attack?
MarineBob · 56-60, M
One can't even entrust the teachers to teach the correct curriculum

It’s like seeing a fire and saying we need more fire to stop this fire.

Somebody from Texas !
😞 Why am I not surprised? @melbeacher
