Do you have a pet peeve?

I have several. One of my main ones is this: The fact that most remote car lock systems use the horn to alert the owner that the car has just been locked. I find that so annoying. There has to be a better lock alert sound.

• Electronic Chirp / Beep: A high-pitched, short digital tone generated by a separate security piezo buzzer or alarm module instead of honking the loud horn.
• Mechanical Actuator Thud / Whir: The physical sound of the electric door lock solenoids sliding, clicking, or whirring inside the door panels.
• Custom Software Tones ("Pew Pew" or Chimes): Some modern vehicles (like select Audi, BMW, Toyota, and Tesla models) allow drivers to change the lock sound or custom chime via software settings.

Too many to list.
I agree with the horn alert. Many manufacturers have introduced a discreet electronic double beep instead, upon lock/unlock.

Mine is dirty cutlery when dining out.
