one of my pet peeves is when someone gives you a pen and it doesnt work and they do not throw it away

I absolutely hate that.

Whenever a pen stops working for me I put it in the trash immediately, also I may even disassemble it so that nobody else can use it.

Finding a pen that does not work and then keeping it around in my opinion is the same as finishing a carton of milk and then putting it BACK in the fridge.
