Open letter to the "gentleman" standing outside my building cursing loudly at someone on his phone…

My neighbors and I all understand that you are annoyed with someone. You have expressed your thoughts very creatively and colorfully.

But I’m three floors up and can hear you in lieu of my own phone or television. You have the option of moving along; I alas, am a captive audience.

Oh, dear…our neighbor just told you to "shut up". Shouting back at him is not advised. Great guy, formidable presence (6’6", 320lb), doesn’t suffer fools patiently.
Yep, that’s him in the doorway.

Ah, goodbye, then ! ☺️
Big guy in the building always very handy!!
@metaldog He’s a sweetheart. If he sees a large box for me he’ll put it by my door, so I don’t have to struggle with it on the stairs.
@bijouxbroussard Aww nice 🌺
He has no idea you are there - or anyone else. This is HIS planet.
@Mamapolo2016 Lol, yep.

Well... you are three floors up. He will have plenty to keep him busy on floors one and two...

Nothing a falling bucket of water won't solve....
When I lived in an apartment sometimes furniture would fly off the building after hearing a phone call like that.

One guy was making his own fireworks and something on fire would pass my balconey. His last one blew up with a solid Wump. Car alarms went off for blocks and the Fire Dept came.
Yelling at a phone is not very satisfying im sure that amplified his frustration.lol

So, did he pull a gun yet?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard Oh great, a possible shootout. :( I can't hear stories like that without thinking of years ago when three off-duty NYC cops caught in a traffic tie-up got into a three-way shoot-out with each other, each later claiming he was the "good guy".
@ChipmunkErnie Luckily, in this case, the fellow left.

@bijouxbroussard Good move. At least it's quiet by you now -- I hope. ;)

Always have loose bricks handy. You'll be surprised how effective they are.
Yeah, I can tell you from personal experience that while somebody is angrily shouting at someone else is not the best time to bring it up. Maybe wait a little bit until the dude cools down, and then say something like, "Hi, I don't know what you're going through right now, or what kind of stupidity you're dealing with, but we can all hear you when you're yelling into your phone. Is there a way you can maybe tell people off a little quieter? I'm sure whatever is happening is really frustrating, but it's kind of interrupting our day. Anyway, just something to think about."
@LordShadowfire An hour of listening to the same points and profanity seemed a sufficient amount of time.
@bijouxbroussard Yeah, sometimes those angry phone calls just go on way too long.

@MethDozer Yep. He was there for at least an hour before anyone said anything.
