I thought it was so cool…

that there was finally a way to keep posts like religion or fetishes (or "politics" for many posters) out of one’s feed. But some of the new people and quite a few of the old ones don’t observe "groups" and post about any subject anywhere. Kind of a pain, sometimes. 🙄
(Hey, I did put this under "Pet Peeves") 😅

The political fucks always post outside politics because they lack the decency to care that nobody wants to hear their manufactured brainwashed MSNBC or FOX BS.
Punxi · 26-30, F
☹️....gotta fess up. I used to only post in the Elvis Presley group. Not a single question of mine was ever about him. I stopped doing so a few days ago. Sorries. 🥺
@Punxi That was okay. I knew that was your thing. 😊
The whole group thing is broken

Sometimes, I get the impression that a poster has gone out of their way to find a group that is utterly disconnected from the content of their post.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
I’ve blocked so many people, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I wish the groups were respected, but they’re not. So many people post random, inane garbage here. It’s why I rarely venture outside my circle of friends.
@ChampagneOnIce I definitely understand that. I always figured once I was able to mute groups it would mean muting fewer individuals who only want to discuss certain subjects. They’d automatically be excluded from my feed.
But that not how it’s worked out, alas. 🤔
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@bijouxbroussard Sadly, no. I wish it would have worked that way.
Ontheroad · M
My problem with groups is that there are a jillion of them and finding one that fits is often quite a pain, or it doesn't exist at all.
@Ontheroad I was hoping with consolidation that would be resolved.
@ninalanyon Hashtags ? 🤔
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@bijouxbroussard Instead of trying to find a group that your new post belongs in just tag it with a few words that you decide for yourself. Just like people do on Twitter. Then instead of it belonging to a single group where it doesn't quite fit you can describe it more accurately. I think that we should also be allowed to tag each others posts so that if someone forgets to do it then anyone could remedy the lack.

For instance most of my posts are about cross-dressing but some are about cafés and some are about both. With a good implementation one could include in the feed just the ones that are about cafés and none that are tagged #cross-dressing, or the other way about, for instance.

Have complained about this a few times. No one seemed to be interested in doing or saying anything about it. 😞

The worst offenders I actually have their groups blocked! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yet I do see their posts often outside of their groups.
bookerdana · M
I think when they "consolidated" groups (I ended up in "Penis,a group I most definitely didn't subscribe to and other changes like title length people said,"Why bother?"
I'm usually a random random type of guy,nowadays
Alison · 18-21, F
I never post in the appropriate group, its too hard and my time is precious *laughs*

This website is broken kind of🤷‍♀️, in so many ways, hard to give a shit honestly
I was just telling a new user how no one really cares much about the groups anymore .

Before they had meaning ....perosnal meaning. We chose them becuase they helped define us .

Now they are just generic blah things with little personality.
MethDozer · M
@OogieBoogie that's why they should have creator moderated groups that can be public, private, closed, or invite only.

The whole "groups" thing here is kinda dumb.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
I grew tired of finding the right group, I used to be so particular about this.

Forgive me for using one group for all. 🤣
It's why I got banned from the Moon group 😞
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@V00doo For mooning folks unannounced?
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@V00doo Odd, they should have promoted you for your gallantry.
SarithBorn · 18-21, M
hmmmmm 🤔

I guess it takes all kinds to make up this place...
REMsleep · 41-45, F
Im kinda confused because I haven't taken the time to learn how to really use the site. I don't really see a point to having groups.
@REMsleep Basically, to be able to find posts on specific topics a little more easily. And to separate topics people would rather not discuss. For example, posters complain about the amount of political discussions that go on. Recently the site made it possible to mute by group. So when people post in groups, political in "Politics", religious discussions in "Religion", others can mute the groups so those posts don’t end up in their newsfeed.
Posters who ignore the groups and post anywhere defeat that system.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@bijouxbroussard We need to be able to mute by content not by group ( @Andrew, @Nuno). I know it is more difficult to code; but simply being able to hide all posts that contain, for instance, the word trump would be a great help.

I have a scrappy Greasemonkey script that does it for me on the feed.
MethDozer · M
I post in which ever group has a smart assy or humorous pun connection to my thread
Elessar · 26-30, M
@MethDozer This is the way
