@bijouxbroussard Yes, but if he lives in a situation where it's accepted I suppose he figures it's accepted everywhere? Like I said, I don't know what his situation is, so it's hard to comment w2ith any certainty why he feels this way.

@ChipmunkErnie He can’t watch much television or social media, where people are still getting fired over it. I had a previous conversation where I explained that even many black people who use the word themselves (I don’t) don’t want to hear it coming from someone white, because it is still associated with white supremacists. These are facts, regardless of where he comes from. And he’s arguing with me. Let someone else explain it to him, then. But I’ve seen folks get their butts kicked for not "reading the room" with that one. 🙄
