What makes someone flip out over a lie when all humans lie?

Because lies destroy lives

We are brought up to be honest and to expect honesty in return.

People expect perfection from everyone, except themselves!!

If it's a really big lie that has serious consequences, "flipping out" is an understandable response.

Maybe they were caught in something they knew was wrong and did it anyway, despite any consequences

Because EVERYONE starts out self centered. See babies. We always believe we are right. Lies or truths, the world over.

The most outrageous atrocities have been justified because we as individuals believed we were right. So if you are outraged think about why you were outraged.

When it was ill-intended and caused damage that could have been prevented by telling the truth

Respect.

I want to trust people.

Sadly, proven too much how bad the world is becoming.

Depends on what the lie is and who it’s towards doesn’t it

Lying to a douche bag is a bit different from lying to a decent folk
