I used to watch once in a while but they are bull.
They show this amazing and freak-chance evidence that solved some crime that happened 50 years ago. Like some guy was out jogging one day and noticed a suspicious looking piece of bird dump on a car and somehow it set off a chain reaction of clues that are just as obscure.
Meanwhile in reality you report a crime and they say, "There's nothing we can do." You could have a Hollywood quality video of the incident but it wouldn't matter.
