Apart from realising that no one is prepared to have their minds changed, arguing on social media is like playing Real Tennis, or Polo - even if you win, you’re still a twat 😜

@deadgerbil 😆 I find it invigorating.
Having my opinions challenged and having to defend them makes me a better debater, and forces me to truly consider what I am defending and whether or not its a worthy position.

@SumKindaMunster opinions challenged is fine as well as finding out how to debate, but a lot of people who engage in debates on these topics don't actually consider the validity of what they say, and when those people represent the loudest voices in a discussion, it becomes draining.

@deadgerbil You can't debate religious fundamentalists, and many of the people debating politics on social media have have no exposure to entry level Political Science, or Political Philosophy.

@chrisCA they mix their untestable religious beliefs in with their politics and act like they are standing on firm ground. They would fit well in the dark ages lol
