When someone's being boastful to you just because they're ahead of something over you? (example: they already got a work and you haven't yet). How do you react??

I let them be. People like that could only affect me if I let them affect me or if I am not contented with what I have. I am mostly contented with myself and my accomplishments so it doesnt really bother me.
