That is [i]insane.[/i] Banning that driver for three years might be saving lives. I'm glad he's off the road for a while.

Several years ago, I witnessed five drivers not allowing an ambulance to pull into hospital emergency because they didn't want to be inconvenienced with a red light they might have gotten had they waited a few moments to let the ambulance through. The ambulance driver was noticeably [i]furious.[/i]

Every one of those drivers should have been sited and, [i]at least,[/i] heavily fined.

My first thought (after I thought, [i]what the hell is wrong with these people[/i]) was, what would these drivers think if [i]they[/i] were the one in the ambulance with a life-threatening condition, and knew five people cared more about not being detained by a red light, than their life?

I don't know how people come to be so insanely selfish.
