i read an annoying fairytale at the library when i was a kid

about this princess who had a vindictive fairy godmother who cursed her because she thought she was ungrateful.. anyway this princess was a very skilled and intelligent and beautiful lady and somehow some prince had a photo of her in a locket and came looking for her because he was smitten with her .. anyway he found this princess and he didn't recognize her because the fairy had cursed her and put a spell on him to not recognize her .. anyway she did all she could to impress him with her wit and skills but he just wanted the girl in the photo and didn't see her as such .. anyway after trying everything for days in desperation she goes to the fairy who then lifts the spell and then the dude recognized her and was in love with her finally.. and they all lived happily ever after

and i was like hell no the dumb ass doesn't deserve her 😤😒 idk why that annoyed me so much then .. him walling around under the trees wanting the girl in the photo when she was right there and he couldn't see her.. i guess in retrospect i guess it wasn't his fault that he was mentally blind af it was the fairy's fault .. but at the time i was annoyed at him

who tf writes these stories? i wonder if that annoying book is still there..
