Getting old can really suck. Really.

So, i had a rotator cuff repair on my left shoulder ten years ago. It was doing great. Complete success. Over the summer it started to give me some trouble. But my repaired right shoulder did too. Wrote it off as arthritis. Right one straightened out. All good. The left one though...
Well, went to see an orthopedic surgeon yesterday. Xray shows bone on bone action.
He is fairly certain i need a shoulder replacement. Cat scan in two weeks.
Lets hope i grow some tissue in the next fourteen days.(like, i would appreciate some new spinal material too. But i won't get greedy)
The whole thing is a bit unnerving. I mean, shit!

I am so sorry about that. I just had a rotator cuff/Biceps tenodesis repair and Acromioplasty on Nov 6.

I really hope it’s not that bad and you won’t need surgery again.

Thank you@iamonfire696. This will be shoulder surgery number four.
I had two on my right side in 2020.

@Carla you have been through it with your shoulders. I had a hip replacement at 19 but I have heard shoulder replacements are no fun.

I hope you have some help if you need surgery 🩷.

@iamonfire696 yeah, i took two hard falls.
Hip at 19? An injury?

I will have help in the evenings. Daytimes, i am on my own.

Surgery is inevitable. Replacement likely. Im going to keep hoping for a less radical repair though.
@iamonfire696 @Carla 🖤🤗

@Carla I was born with congenital hip dysplasia so I had a hip replacement and my leg lengthened.

It’s starting to bother me now and is 22 years old so I am thinking I will need a revision soon.

Ouch, I am sorry you took two hard falls. I am glad you won’t be completely alone 🩷.

@iamonfire696 the thing with getting surgeries like that when you are young. They are necessary, help tremendously, but wear down. Bad hips are so hard on a person. They affect whole body function. I hope they can do something less radical than the first.
@Carla me too for you. 🖤🙏

@Carla It changed my life for sure and I will push through a revision. The surgeon figured this one would only last 10-15 years and I am at 22 years so I am doing good.

I hope when you need surgery the pain isn’t too bad but at least you know it’s going to end and you’re going to feel better in the end 🩷.

@iamonfire696 that's what I'm looking to. I can hardly use it now. And that can't stand. I'll be alright.
