Yike, I hope that didn't happen to you!

@AbbeyRhode Just about 30 minutes ago we would have been real early too
AbbeyRhode · F
@cherokeepatti Oh, no! I'm sorry to hear that. Are you OK?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AbbeyRhode I think so
AbbeyRhode · F
@cherokeepatti I hope so. I'm glad you saw the doctor right away. It often happens after an accident that pain from an injury might not appear till the next day.

@AbbeyRhode Exactly. She should go to the ER and get checked out, because, since the other driver is at fault, HIS insurance will probably give her a medical settlement in addition to paying for her car.

It happened to me. It was just a small rear ender of an accident, but the force of it blew open my moon roof and knocked all the stuff in the cubby into the back seat...AND it made an existing neurological condition a LOT worse. For about a year my vision would cross...and I would think my eyes were crossed, but when I looked in the mirror, they weren't.

The following day one side of my face sagged down as though I was having a stroke...but it was all lumped together in one category: visual migraines, which were made worse by my brain being crashed around inside my head.

Please, Patti...you should go to the ER.

@4meAndyou the man in red is our friend, he came to fetch us so we could get another car to go to the doctor.

@cherokeepatti Tomorrow you may find that you are hurt. It's not unusual to have few or no effects for a day or two. If there is no record of an ER visit associated with the accident, you won't be eligible for money for medical expenses from the person's insurance. (The person who hit you).

Is your car the blue car? It looks like it was a VERY bad accident.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou no my car is the burgundy one. I am sore is all, a few bruises. I think the soreness is from the airbags and seat belt.
AbbeyRhode · F
@4meAndyou Oh, that's awful. Are you any better now?
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti I was in an accident once and banged my knee on the dashboard. My son was in the car seat in the back, and I thought I was fine afterward. There was no damage to the car, so I didn't even bother taking the guy's insurance information. In the days and weeks that followed I realized I had hurt that knee pretty badly.

Just be sure to take care of YOU.

@AbbeyRhode Yes. Let's worry about Patti, though. My stories about ME are, hopefully, to show her that even a SMALL car accident can have some very bad effects.
AbbeyRhode · F
@4meAndyou Good point, but I hope you're both OK.
