What a huge inconvenience 😒

My mail carrier absolutely refuses to deliver my packages to my door. At our old apartment, they ALWAYS brought things to the door OR left it at the front office so we could pick it up later.

At this place, they just stick a little slip of paper into my mailbox that tells me to pick up the package at the post office (which is NOT close). My bf has had enough and says we're not picking up ANY MORE packages. But...ordering online is the ONLY way I can get the things I need, because I don't get to leave the house often enough to shop for clothes and such. Bf hates driving anywhere, esp when it's hot, and I still don't know my way around well enough to drive myself. I could take an Uber but that would be like $15 to get there and $15 to get back...so definitely don't want to do that.

It's a stupid first world problem, but it's really fucking annoying. 😤

You should make a formal complaint on their website and then also call the post office to tell them it’s happening and ask why.
I’ve had them mark that my packages were too big to fit in the delivery vehicle several times, and it’s never a big package. One time it was one tube of concealer. They just don’t want to walk to my front door.
They’ve marked my stuff as an abandoned house??? before and when I went to get it I bypassed my small post office and went to the main one where I know all the people, and I was told a couple of their people have been written up for marking packages like that because they don’t want to walk them to the door.
And my local post office is ONLY open from noon to 4pm on days I work, and it’s just not possible for me to get there. I have a PO Box because of all the problems I’ve been through with them.

@itsok i would never complain about anything to the Post Office. You'll never get mail delivered again. It's like the old Lily Tomlin thing about the phone company only It's "We're the Post Office. We don't care. We don't have to."

@hunkalove that’s not been my experience at all. Action is taken, and I get to hear the gossip from the workers at the main distribution center for my area
