I don't get why conservatives talk about the gender binary as if it's p-rnography.

@SW-User Teaching kids about that stuff doesn't make them trans or non binary any more than straight religious parents trying to make their gay kid be straight but if they're gay, they'll be gay regardless. The knowledge of something doesn't do much.

But if you must argue about this, the same impressionable children are thrown into gender roles early i.e. strict female or strict male, to groom them into what their parents want for them.

Example, if the parent is anti gay, kids are often raised and expected to conform to traditional family values.

Native American religions believed in a third gender for centuries as did many other cultures, this is where two spirit comes from in the community. So strict gender roles aren't even a real thing, only with the rise of Abrahamic religions.

@SatanBurger No one "throws" children into "strict" gender roles. As a kid, I liked dolls BUT was also a tomboy who liked adventure, sports, debate, etc. My parents encouraged me according to what I was interested in at the time. I have two children already, and I can tell you that as a parent you are not thinking about gender roles on any conscious or unconscious level. You are thinking of meeting your child's practical care needs and showing them emotional love and support. There's so many things to worry about, that gender roles for your children are the last priority you have. I don't go to bed at night thinking of how I can, to use the words you used, throw my son or my daughter into strict gender roles. If I thought about that, I'd be a very demented person. That people who support teaching kids about the non-binary lifestyle think that parents actually go about actively forcing their children into strict gender roles, is disturbing to say the least. It's not something that should ever enter the mind of a good and sane parent. I hate that it routinely enters the minds of people who have views akin to your own.

@SatanBurger You confuse them, LGBT numbers are rising exponentially for that reason, not cause they were mostly in the closet beforehand. Adults can't be trusted to get their fucking mbti type right but you think it's a good idea to introduce such a complex concept to chldren? You're not thinking this through at all.

@Rolexeo No they were always around but couldn't talk about it. People have never been just straight, though some have. I find strict gender roles more complex than non binary because you have to ignore a lot of things to make the leap that everyone fits into those roles more so than non binary, funny how perspective is.

@SatanBurger Most people are just straight. There isnt this many gay people, it's a trend and they're confused, which is why it wasnt like this years ago and why so many grow out of it. You dont grow out of a sexuality, they simply never truly that way. Some things are more or less unisex, we all have masculine and feminine traits, ehat's your point? Children still lack the sophistication to grasp these concepts

@SatanBurger it isn't relevant to 99.99% of the population. In the 1980s if your son kept saying he was a girl yo knew for certain something was up. Now if that happens you don't know for sure that he didnt just pick it up from school or the media

The amount of trans people detransitioning and how much more people identify as LGBT now is proof of what I'm saying. There was even a study done on men and women. Men who identify as LGBT are much more likely to have had sex with other men. Women who identify as LGBT by contrast are less likely to have had sex with other women. Cause they aren't actually LGBT. Women are more interested in trends and fitting in, it's literally a trend.

@Rolexeo That's nice, you still don't have a consensus on other's experiences in life. Adults say this themselves that they noticed how they were when they were younger. It's a part of life. Being non binary isn't a trend. You deciding what someone else feels doesn't mean you're correct.

I don't hate establishment conservatives, I hate their misinformation and overreaction at anything not straight and not Evangelical, it's a little weird and I'll always think it's weird.
