Is the World worse than ever for a sense of self entitlement?

I came across a thread asking if 14-15 is too much an hour for somebody working in a fast food restaurant and it made me think about the wider picture within those kind of jobs.

Yes it is a stressful job, hundreds of customers lining up, changing their minds while others are getting impatient, being yelled at because you are out of stock, having to clean filthy fryers etc but...

What happens when you increase wages? The expenses of the company becomes higher, then so do the products which just causes inflation which isn't even beneficial to the employees.

The real problem with these jobs are that people are impatient, self entitled and abusive in this society with the attitude that the customer is always right.

What would make these jobs more manageable and lead to less people leaving is a bit of dignity and respect.
i totally disagree. theres a massive push underway for the collective hive thought ..
individuality is under attack.

wanting to make your own choices in life/health/finance is now considered selfish. and
group think is rewarded with echo chamber applause..

Dignity and respect comes from being treated fairly...
Customers need to pay true value for they're good and corporations need to pay fair wages

fast food workers don't know what stress is

they want professional level pay without professional liability...

I'm a contractor/engineer, if I fuck something up, I get penalized, fined, sued, and/or go to jail...

If some fast food worker fucks up an order, it's just another day

How 'bout this; pay them $15 an hour, and if the burger they give you doesn't look like the one on the menu, the expense comes out of their pay... 🤔
@wildbill83 I suppose that's food for thought in terms of responsibility.. but if you fuck food up and somebody gets poisoned everyone involved can be penalised I'm not sure if they'd go to jail but I assume that's a possibility.

It's not a super unlikely occurrence either.. anyway my point was the stress of people yelling abuse, being impatient then getting bollocked by their supervisors.

Gradual raises in the minimum wage don’t make prices skyrocket.
