FACT CHECKING Trump’s false claims on childhood vaccines: 'This is so DANGEROUS!'

President Trump yesterday signed an executive order seeking to reshape vaccine recommendations for children. On the current schedule, children are vaccinated against 18 diseases, but Trump's plan would only vaccinate against 11. The president’s order also calls for the MMR vaccine -- for measles, mumps and rubella -- to be separated into three different single shots. My comments:
Neither Trump nor Kennedy has any clue about childhood vaccinations. Kennedy’s gross mishandling of the TX measles outbreak in 2025 should have made this abundantly clear and should have resulted in his immediate dismissal and using the full resources of HHS to have an immediate push for vaccinations nationwide using the same schedule that was in effect during the Biden administration.
What’s more, neonatal vitamin K administration should have been included in that push as well as emphasis on HPV vaccination (which when properly & timely administered has been shown to virtually eliminate cervical cancer).
Instead we have fools like Trump and Kennedy using the full weight of the President’s Bully Pulpit to spread deadly misinformation.
