Trump Anti-vax Law HIT with BLISTERING Order from Federal Judge

Popok reports on Judge Murphy blocking RFK Jr. and his Department of Health and Human Services from recommending that babies and children don't receive vaccines to prevent meningitis, rotovirus, hepatitis, and COVID 19, finding that his new "advisory panel" on vaccines is filled with anti-vaxxers and their actions are undermining pubic health.
My comments:
This is a very important injunction which Judge Murphy has made, but let’s understand it’s limits and how much of the very real threat this appointment of RFK, Jr has already had not just on our children, but on future generations.
This injunction only blocks the proposed irrational and indefensible alterations to our evidence based vaccine recommendations primarily to infants and children. That is a very good start and one that is resoundingly supported by multiple medical societies and associations.
If you need highly visible evidence that this is a good measure look no further than the Texas measles outbreak in 2025–just as Kennedy was assuming this office. Kennedy’s profound ignorance was immediately apparent. He failed to use all the authority vested in him as the Sec. of Health and Human Services to immediately push for vaccinations of the highly effective, readily available, safe, and cheap MMR vaccine to contain the outbreak. He did nothing to educate the parents, teachers, and patients on the need to get fully vaccinated (two shots) and he never addressed the leaders of the Mennonite community (their church’s position on the vaccine is officially neutral) to break the chain of transmission of this (one of the most contagious) virus.
Children died. This was not the first time Kennedy has been involved in deadly measles outbreaks in this and other countries.
I haven’t time to describe all the ignorant and foolish things he did to mask his incompetence and endanger our children, but here are two things:
1. Not only did he not recommended the safe and effective, readily available vaccine, but what he did INSTEAD was recommend a witches brew of substances with very high Vitamin A content like: liver, Vitamin A supplements, cod liver oil, and dietary supplements which resulted in multiple hospitals admitting children with vitamin A toxicity which can be deadly and cause numerous serious medical conditions such as liver failure, seizures, and more. All entirely preventable.
He never apologized. He should have resigned.
2. He championed two physicians who were treating patients with his ineffective and dangerous witches brew regimen—one of whom WAS ACTUALLY SUFFERING FROM AND HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS WITH MEASLES HIMSELF!
Just really quick, here are some of the other horrendous things this lunatic has done in the eight months or so he has held this position:
a. Cut federal research funding into important aspects of medicine especially mRNA vaccines. He tried to prevent the FDA approval of the first mRNA vaccine for seasonal influenza in the US but that has been reversed. These techniques hold great promise in cancer research and many other types of diseases.
b. Slashed the funding for virus surveillance which is the “early warning system” for new viral threats before we see clinical cases. When coupled with mRNA technology, this allows much quicker development, testing, approval, and dispersal to pharmacies and clinics of effective vaccines.
I will leave this discussion at this point.
The bottom line is that Kennedy and his ilk must be removed. This “doctor” (Casey Means) whom tRUMP has nominated for Surgeon General is another unfit choice and should not be approved.
