Yesterday, I finally got my Covid booster and a flu shot…

But while I was waiting, a woman was having her son, about 5, and daughter, around 8, vaccinated. I didn’t know if it was Covid or for the flu—but the boy got the shot with no problem, came out showing us the bandaid on his shoulder, we all congratulated him.

The girl, on the other hand, was very afraid. Her mother was cajoling, bribing, trying to reassure her, but she was not having it.
And of course the fellow giving the vaccines was waiting patiently, I was next, but the people after me were sighing and looking at their watches. The mother was clearly embarrassed, and told the girl, "we’re not going to hold up these people, but we will come back to do this, because it has to be done."

The girl said, "okay, I’ll do it". She went behind the screen, we heard her cry, and we all winced. And it was done. The nurse prepared more vaccine, The mother was talking to the pharmacist, and I said gently to the girl, "I think you were quite brave !" Her brother said, "No, she wasn’t ! She cried."
The man next to me told him, "’Brave’ is doing what you have to, even though you’re scared." That brought a smile from the girl, although her brother rolled his eyes, and then they left with their mom. 😊

Got my flu shot a few weeks ago and next Tuesday I'm going to get my booster (#6 if I include the original). The only reaction I've had was a next day slight soreness where I was given the shot.
@Ontheroad That’s all I experienced these last two times.
I was like twenty Mack trucks hit me with the second booster, I was so sick and in so much agony for days that’s what I didn’t want to have the third. Everyone is so different. I’m very sensitive to western medicine. @bijouxbroussard
