Its been a year since I got both of my Covid vaccines and I still haven’t turned into a cyclops. Facebook, you have failed me.

I’m disappointed

I literally had no side effects.
Neither did anyone I know.
I'd love to know where these "terrible side effects" come from then.

@basilfawlty89 Look them up. They are there. It's possible, you recieved a Saline shot.

@Oster1 provide a source then.

From Twitter apparently. That's where the "real truth" is. lol
@basilfawlty89 That's not the only metric to see from. I can offer another, but I see you love your moral platitudes, each time I had the shot I did have side-affects, enough to keep me off from work. So, for me, while I see we are in a downward trend in cases, I am measuring my own risk, and I don't want a day off from work for a vaccination. Maybe in the fall *if* there is another wave, but I'm sorry I'm tired of listening to righteous people. In real life, that is called a proper risk assessment in my mind.

@thewindupbirdchronicles its moral platitudes now to correctly point out that most people don't have severe side effects and that you're likely to face worse from the actual virus?
@basilfawlty89 yes it is moral platitudes now. You are ignoring how people make their own choices
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@thewindupbirdchronicles unfortunately, facts don't care about your feelings.
@basilfawlty89 I love that line. Many assumptions made and some questions you arent ASKING.
@basilfawlty89 I'll remember in the fall when it matters again.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@thewindupbirdchronicles I literally just started the fact that I didn't experience any side effects, nor did everyone I know who got the vaccine. If that offends you, might I suggest some Preparation H?
@basilfawlty89 so now you didn't have side effects.... try to change how you present things all you want. You might want to edit your words too. May I suggest a pill for you if you want to be insulting? I'll sign up for my next vaccination that gives me chills when I literally can make an assessment my risk right now is LOW.

Literally the original post on the thread. Try to keep up.
@basilfawlty89 To be young in your thirties when it's more about the argument than actually caring... have fun. I remember that time.
@basilfawlty89 You'll keep on one day you just want to be "right"
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@thewindupbirdchronicles oh I do care actually. You see, my mom is 70 this year and has comorbidities. So damn skippy I care, because don't want her dead from a preventable virus.
@basilfawlty89 As damn skippy my mother is in her 70s too.... just because I choose to see why some choose differently, doesn't mean I don't care and damn skippy I see you doing a fools errand. But judge me, whose had your vaccinations
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@thewindupbirdchronicles this could definitely be described as a fool's errand, because I'm arguing with people who think a guy on Facebook in his truck is more credible than a learned doctor with a PhD or MD.
@basilfawlty89 Assumptions are lovely aren't they? But it's not surprising, I remember that time in age and stupid tactics in argument I might have used.. and I wasn't coming to age in a pandemic with a lot of misinformation. Good luck. I suggest a more cordial approach.
