More Peace Of Mind [I Support Vaccination]

Being apart from my in-laws has been a tough year or so.

My wife has a busy life, as a Deputy Head Teacher, and as such she's really had her hands full with how the world is currently. She teaches Infants. She's damn good at her job.

But I know that she worries about her folks back in Newcastle. They're up the furthest North you could probably go in England...and we're in Surrey; Very much South.

Of course, FaceTime and Zoom calls are regular but it's not quite the same, is it? Late last year the North had an increase in Covid infections and so, being old, we have worried about...

Last week, I had my vaccine and was just informing them of that from one of our bi-weekly calls.....so you could imagine our surprise, shock and annoyance (in a nice way) when her dad casually let slip that they'd had theirs's done a few weeks before but never thought to tell us!

Physically, I could see my girl just.....relax.....on that call.

We talked afterwards and, apart from annoyance that they had not told her, she said she had more peace of mind now that they've had it...

Although they're not in their 80's - not yet - the current status in the UK was the level of 80 + people being admitted into hospital, and who have had the vaccine, have dropped by 80% which is fantastic news...
