Covid has been around since early 2020, and I have not become infected – neither have my children, my parents, or my sister's family. We are all fully vaccinated, and we've been careful. I believe that monkey pox, however dangerous that disease may be, can be handled as well if we all take the necessary safety measures. Maybe there will be a vaccine available soon. Those who believe covid or monkeypox are a bad hoax - good luck to you.
We don't live in the middle ages when millions of helpless people died as a result of the plague.
@helenS i completely agree with you. ignorance and stupidity and laziness and fear are why Covid took over our lives for two years

@helenS if somebody ran out and got vaccinated for every BS disease that they invent nowadays they would die of vaccination overdose.
helenS · 36-40, F
@CestManan I must be that person! I am vaccinated against almost everything: diphtheria, tetanus, measles, poliomyelitis, hepatitis, pertussis, tickbite encephalitis, and I don't know what else. 👍
@CestManan well that is true, but i think as a normal person...i would only get vaccinated after being told several times that i had to. i didn't get any vaccinations until my husbands company said that he had to.

@helenS Lots of unvaxed people say exactly the same thing. Sadly I know three people killed by the vax and almost all the ones who were vaxed had some sort of adverse reaction. Glad you were safe but I wouldn't recommend the vax to either friend or foe. Sometimes it is best just to let a disease run its course. BTW I heard last night that in Alberta the leading cause of death in the province of 4.4 million people is "cause unknown". Very strange. What is cause unknown? When you look back over the years 'Cause unknown" was almost always restricted to badly decomposed bodies where autopsies could not be performed. Suddenly since the government mandated the vax cause unknown is top of the charts and they have the body to do an autopsy. Hmmmm You don't suppose.......
helenS · 36-40, F
@hippyjoe1955 I don't know what "cause unknown" is, because the cause is unknown... 😏
Anyway, I want to die aged 93 as a result of too much red wine, not some idiotic tick bite TBE against which there is a simple vaccination. If you don't want to be vaccinated, that's fine with me. I'm not angry at people who follow different patterns in their life. 🌷
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@helenS Actually the cause is known. It is the vax and its side effects. Like my neighbor who was a healthy 49 year old man. Active in his community and very physically fit. He and his wife went to bed one night in late November and the next morning his wife found his cold corpse lying beside her in the bed. He had been mandated to get a booster a few days before to work in an old folks home.

@helenS I think you need vaccination against SWidiots and Conspiracy Theorists. Kia Kaha. 🤗
helenS · 36-40, F
@KiwiBird I'm afraid there is no such vaccine... 🌷
@hippyjoe1955 i don't know of one person that had adverse effects to the vaccination. not one...and you can't include the twenty four hour sick feeling afterwards. that is completely normal

@helenS this week was our first week to have ever caught CoVid :-(. We used to be careful but no one is careful now… and so we caught it? We are fully vaccinated. I’m not sure if we should have vaccinated again?
@Foreverconfused some idiot at the big yard sale last week coughed right on me. 24 hours later i was sick as a dog. now i don't want to do anything.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Foreverconfused As far as I know, even being fully vaccinated does not guarantee you won't become infected with covid - but the disease and the symptoms will be less serious (just like a bad flu), because your body has already installed the anti-SARS‑CoV‑2 squad. I think your infection is equivalent to another vaccine shot, but you should definitely ask a doctor.
Get well soon please!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@helenS The simple fact is that the vax is a complete waste of time and energy if you are trying to prevent covid. Like the flu vaxes before it there is no statistical evidence that it has any effect on preventing covid. With good reason I might add. The vax is an attempt to prevent the Alpha strain. The Alpha strain doesn't exist any more. So getting re vaxed is kind of like getting the measles vax in hopes of preventing polio. Completely ineffective.

@Slade Are there also brainpox? Have you heard of those before? 😏
Slade · 56-60, M
@helenS Spotted brains I've heard. Is there something called brainpox?

With many it would be the first time they ever had anything on their mind!
Slade · 56-60, M
@helenS Too much red wine? Wouldn't you prefer a whiter...fluid?🤔
helenS · 36-40, F
@Slade Amarone della Valpolicella is fine, right now.
Although it might be more pleasant to enjoy another glass with a nice guy like you 🍷🍷
