WHO to Convene Emergency Meeting on Monkeypox After UK Cases Double to 20

The World Health Organization (WHO) will convene an emergency meeting on monkeypox after cases in the United Kingdom doubled to 20.

Health officials confirmed on Wednesday the first case of monkeypox virus infection in Massachusetts this year.

The CDC expressed concern on Tuesday about the monkeypox outbreak in the UK and warned of the possibility that the outbreak could spread beyond U.K. borders.

The WHO will also be examining why clusters include gay or bisexual men, the paper said, with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) giving similar warnings.

So, it looks like Monkeypox will be the new device used to control people.

@Budwick Apart from the fact that it has a incubation period of up to 3 weeks before symptoms show, it's obvious no one is sleeping with people who look that diseased, so isn't it an even bigger concern that it is being transmitted between people non-symptomatic

@Budwick And yet millions died from COVID and many many times more that number suffered from it. The threat was there. That cannot be denied. I've had t, my brother now has long term problems following having it, I know people that died of it.

Whatever view you have on whether their advice was correct, their motives based on something else or figures wrongly calculated...it existed...the "wolf" was there.
