Better than nothing I guess

So my buddy has been getting horrible headaches since starting his new meds. Well today they did a med evaluation. He told them about the headache and they basically said he needs to give the medicine more time for him to adjust. It's only been a few weeks. Right at the concern of the drugs we're making him feel very lethargic and out of it, and the times he just kind of spaces off still. They also said he needs to drink more water and that will help. But they finally gave him a prescription Zolmitriptan.

I am so glad they finally did this. I was hoping they would look into why the depression meds were giving him such severe headaches in the evenings but they said that they won't make any changes for at least two to four more weeks.

But this is better than nothing. And we know it works for him because he's been using mine.

So we'll take it.

I went through similarly close side effects when I first started with Pristiq. Doc scripted Rizatriptan for the rest of the month to help with the side effects. They helped a lot.

@Levenrack I really think the head doctor that is over seeing the program thinks he's had drug addict and he's drug seeking because he OD'd on my heart pills. Like I said I'm no expert but I don't think drugs seeking addicts OD on heart pills to get a high. But I'm just glad they finally gave them a prescription to help with his headaches.

@Cigarguy yeah no kidding. I'm glad he's still in it, to win it, mode. Fantastic!
I hate it when the bandaids are worse than the ailment :(

@NativePortlander1970 I really think they need to look at the pills he taking in the evenings. That's when he's getting the headaches. And yes I do understand that depression meds have side effects and it does take you a while to get used to them but this is been happening every day since he started these pills. And we're not talking headaches we're talking severe migraines that are making him get sick dizzy. But like I said I am no expert but I'm just glad they finally gave him the nose spray because I know it works.
