I Have Lost Somebody to Cancer

Today, (03/04/2019) I buried my daughter. She passed away at the young age of 33 after a year long battle with cancer.
I want to write so much more, but don't know where to begin or what to say other than I am heartbroken and devastated.

That is just horrible! I am so very very sorry IM5688. Cancer is a thief that sneaks into our lives and steals our loved ones, both my parents too. But losing a child is the ultimate heart breaking loss. I will keep you both in my prayers, God Bless you and keep you.馃檹

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my wife to breast cancer just over a year ago. I think losing a child would be devastating. I know how it is to not know what to say or even how to feel. The shock is awful. Hope you have some family support.

Oh no! I鈥檓 so sorry ! No parent should have to bury their child. You write whatever you feel . The pain and anguish will only fester .

@WonderGirl1 Thank you. She was so sure that she was going to beat it. She was just so full of life and love. For a short time, it was looking like she might win her battle, then seemingly over night her cancer became too aggressive and she could no longer fight it. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her and think of her.

@WelshLovely Thank you so much. It is getting easier to accept her loss, but I still have my moments where I do break down and cry a bit. Going through her things hasn't been easy because every item brings back a memory, but I'm getting through it slowly.

@LvChris This is the only positive thing that comes to mind, that she is in no more pain and suffering, but knowing this still doesn't make the hurting any less.
