I Have Lost People I Love From Cancer

Today is the one-year anniversary of my mom’s funeral. I feel worse today than I felt on the one-year anniversary of her actual death, which was last Tuesday.

Cancer is a nasty beast. My wife has lost many in her family from it. It is equal opportunity and will strike any age, gender, race or religion and it has no politics. It is an enemy to all and the one thing we can all come together about. It is relentless in its attacks and we should be just as relentless in our defense. I am sorry for your loss and I could never make that loss any less severe, I hope that time can ease it and allow you to move forward.
