I Have Lost Somebody to Cancer
Dust Lost To A Deserts Storm - Poem... Dust Lost to A Deserts Storm
Actions can turn to dust
So quickly within the hand of death
How can we trust anything
Fearful, to be lost in the simple things
Only to keep us occupied
From that which awaits us
None
What is this life we believe in
That can barely survive the gentle hand of life's time
To the ungentle hand of death
This emotion we keep
Try to control
Try to contain
For what purpose?
What are we saving it for?
I am drinking the water of life for now
But for you, dust lost within a deserts storm
Please let me hold you right now
And tell you that what is lost is forever
But that what is not is forever as well
You rest inside of me
The dust may own your body
But I hold your soul
What is lost is never reborn
For it was not born
Just mixed across the universe of matter and energy of all time
Within this temporary random hold
And our, this ex<x>pression
Were the only real things we ever held
Completely
Together
Dust
Within our oceans storm
Actions can turn to dust
So quickly within the hand of death
How can we trust anything
Fearful, to be lost in the simple things
Only to keep us occupied
From that which awaits us
None
What is this life we believe in
That can barely survive the gentle hand of life's time
To the ungentle hand of death
This emotion we keep
Try to control
Try to contain
For what purpose?
What are we saving it for?
I am drinking the water of life for now
But for you, dust lost within a deserts storm
Please let me hold you right now
And tell you that what is lost is forever
But that what is not is forever as well
