Is it true that Eskimos rub their noses together instead of kissing bcz saliva transmits bacteria and infections

I think its that they bud foreheads ?
My late grandfather used to gently hold my face and hold his forehead against mines as a goodbye kiss

It was the only part they would uncover for a few moments of quick affection. When temperatures are well below freezing, making out is the least of thoughts.
