Attention Americans without insurance who are paying cash for medications who cannot afford them

Let me let you in on something I just found out about last week

Goodrx

It’s a site that compares prescription prices and they give you the lowest possible price you can get your medication for as low as 80% off

They gave you a bunch of really good coupons and stuff. You can’t use it if you have insurance tho you have to choose one or the other

Let me show you an example

Original price for insulin For diabetes at the pharmacy I was choosing (I’m not a diabetic this is an example) and it compares it to other prices

I could get it at Walgreens for example for $50 with goodrx

Really ??? They have been around for a decade . The are several other similar cards out there . I have no idea how they work but it does .

@TexChik you know I always thought those cards were a fraud

The lady at the pharmacy told me they sell your information to third-parties and that’s how they get money but if I’m getting a prescription for 80% off I really do not care about a little spam in my email

used goodrx for years, most pharmacies & small clinics have cards near counter (no need to go online and give any personal information); and typically, after they scan it for first use, it stays on record so you don't need to keep up with card

I use it on a regular basis....its actually cheaper than my copay on rx meds with my insurance.
