Welcome to the Neurodivergent Family. My own neurodivergence is different, but we represent about 20% of the population.
Neurodivergence refers to a way of understanding brain differences, where someone's brain processes information, learns, and behaves differently from what is considered "typical". It's not a diagnosis itself, but rather a concept that embraces the wide range of human brain functions and behaviors, viewing them as natural variations rather than deficits.
Neurodivergent individuals often have unique strengths, such as creative thinking, strong attention to detail, or hyperfocus. They may also face challenges in areas like social interaction, sensory processing, or learning.
