Serious question: How do blind people know where to find the braille?

Like, going through the airport, I noticed a sign in English, French, and braille. Awesome that it's there for blind people but how would they ever know it was there??

This has often puzzled me!

Using a right sided wall approach, they scan all walls with their hands till they find the signs and take note of what is written each time.
