I Have An Invisible Disability

I have a disability which means I have to use a waking stick. I feel that ever since I've had to use the stick that people no longer see me just it. My ex husband left me 3 years ago and one f his parting comments was, " your old, ugly and a cripple no one will ever want or look at you". I really wish I didn't feel like my disability defines me but I fear it does and my ex could be right.

@sighmeupforthat unfortunately I think years of his abuse took it's toll. The trouble is I've come across quite a few people who are discriminatory and I guess my self confidence, or lack of it, doesn't help my situation.
