I Work With People With Disabilities

I understand where you are coming from. I worked over 20 years with developmentally disabled individuals, did everything from working in the homes, job coach, QMRP/Case Manager even administrator. I would be curious as to why the behavior occurs on Monday, and trying to figure out this one. I had a client before I was her Q, she had a goal at the workshop she had a quota and would get a token she could exchange for a pop, when she did not get the token she would scream, cuss, strip you name it. The workshop came up with an idea to give a token but if she had not met her quota it would have no pop and she would have outbursts at her unit instead of the walk home. I took over the case and immediately took away that modifier. It was obvious she just wanted a pop when she got off. That is normal life. So when she got home she got a pop to drink. As far as finding another job, I understand that part too, They are cutting back services that field is not like it use to be. Good luck in your search.
