Diabetes: irony: did you know that

When your sugar level is high, you actually crave MORE sugar? But your body needs to get rid of it. It's a strange circumstance similar to a drowning person trying to drown the person who is trying to save them out of desperation they latch on dangerously. It requires training to stay safe, as a diabetic, and a lifeguard. It's important to recognize the dangers.

Eat peanut butter instead. It helps a whole lot.
Or some fruits and a water.
Dont play games. 🙂

@FreddieUK me too- sparingly. It all goes to my face, I think!

@Mindful I'm just a general balloon these days. I need a widescreen mirror.

@FreddieUK You cannot get fat off peanut butter unless you eat it every day.
Just in moderation. Youll live. 🙂

I can't say that I crave sweet things when my blood-sugar level is high. That craving can happen at any time. I just try to be sensible and not surrender too often

That's like needing a cigarette after watching one of those anti cigarettes smoking adds.

It’s not hard once you know your own body, you just get used to it. I can tell if I’m high or low before I even check my levels. It literally barely impacts on my life

It is tempting to ignore it, hoping it will go away. It will attack you where you least expect it. Take care.

For me the hardest part is putting my track suit on. Once I start running, I’m OK.

And then there is having different food to everyone else and the temptation of second helpings.

There are a lot of us about. We are a family.

@peterlee based on the replies, I see there are several of us here!
