Imagine being told you have type 2 at first . You manage it with diet and excersize and oral meds for a long time .... then it no longer is working....then you are put on an injectable med ..along with oral med ...ok great ...working...but wait there's more ...oh you thought that's it ...haha you silly...... years go by you notice something isn't right ...you go see a specialist...they up your meds ...still not working ...you are told you aren't eating enough protein...you aren't excersing enough ...which I was ....you are told it's your fault ....youre not doing the " right" things ...which is not true ...still nothing works ...you go to another endo because this one is clearly a shmuck ....they do new blood work they tell you ...you're not type 2 you are actually type 1.5 ...wtf is that? Basically a latent autoimmune type of type 1 ....shit ...I knew something was off.... nope ...still not done ....years go by my b.s is still not great ...not horrible but could be better ....I'm eating right excersizing every day ...cutting out everything " bad" nope ...still not enough....endo says take more insulin ....take it before meals ...um ...how am i supposed to do this when my blood sugars are tanking in the morning? Ummm she has no idea ....also bring up I'm peri menopausal to her maybe a factor ...* stares blankly at me * ...endo says take this much at this time snd blah blah blah fucking blah more unhelpfull b s...ok thanks guess ill just die ...next ...looking into a new endo again...ffs...

I am Type 3C.
I am Type 3C.
@emmasfriend what is that ?

@Chern0bylplaygr0unds
I have chronic pancreatitis.
My Type 3C diabetes is a side-effect of that.
I inject long-lasting insulin daily and take Creon capsules with my food to replace the enzymes that my pancreas fails to make.
It is not too difficult to manage. I adjust the intake of capsules according to what I eat. Provided I balance the medication, it is possible to have a normal diet without restrictions.
