Even though I've chosen to go low carb... I still stand by this meme

Diabetes is hard enough without people criticizing people who are trying their best to manage this disease.

I'm on insulin and have been since I went out of control because of insurance interuption. I now just eat whatever I want. I'm a lightweight and a diabetic diet would starve me because of loss of taste issues. Carbs are a major calorie source for me.

@Gibbon There's no cookie cutter answer is there?
I think if you find something that works for you that's what you do.
And nobody needs to criticize you or anyone else about it.

@Justmeraeagain That's very true. Those of us with it are all different. Mine unlike many is not onset diabetes it was caused by chemo. Came on fast.

@Gibbon I have two brothers and one sister who are also diabetic in my mother was diabetic so for most of us it was hereditary.
But ,my sister was told hers was caused by some steroid she had taken for pain control.
